For a cotton knit like this, folding helps it hold its shape. A little tip we've learned over the years: if you'd like a touch more length, hang it instead — the fabric naturally relaxes and drops a little over time.

Does it pill, and how do I prevent it?
A little pilling — those tiny bobbles — is completely normal for soft knits, including cotton blends, and isn't a fault or a sign of poor quality. It simply comes from friction where the fabric rubs during wear: under the arms, along the sides, or where a handbag strap or seatbelt sits. To keep it to a minimum, turn the jumper inside out and wash it cold and gentle with similar soft fabrics — away from rough items like denim, towels or anything with zips — and don't overload the machine. If a few pills do appear, resist pulling them off by hand; gently glide a fabric comb or a battery fabric shaver across the surface and it'll look fresh again.
